Creating a computer network and sharing files

Freespire automatically connects you to any computer workgroup it sees across the network that you are connected to.

1. To enable your computer to share files across the network, please follow the steps below: Open the file manager, right click on any folder you wish to share across the network, and select Share.

2. Click on the Share tab and select Share with other computers in your Network Neighborhood

3. You are now given the option to choose what name you want the folder to be called over the network. Fill in the desired name and hit OK.

4. Your computer is now set up to share files.

To view other computers in your network, double-click on the Network Share Manager icon on your desktop to see all the computers. For full Instructions see Connecting to another computer on the network

Note: If you are trying to connect to a Microsoft Windows XP computer and it asks for a username and password when none exist, type in anything into the username field and hit OK and you will be allowed to connect to the computer.
