Community Code of Conduct


Community Projects are well known for (and very proud of) their active, friendly and positive user/developer Communities. This is due in large part because the Community is able to set standards and guidelines which Members are diligent in upholding over the years.

The Freespire Community should be a place that offers the widest latitude in the expression of thoughts, ideas and suggestions, however, some lines have to be drawn to make this a constructive, non-offensive and friendly place where ALL feel welcome to participate and contribute to the project.

Below are the simple guidelines that comprise the Freespire Community Code of Conduct. We thank all in advance for their thoughtful and conscious adherence to these simple guidelines as they interact with their fellow community members.

Code of Conduct

The following content is encouraged:

  • Insightful content of any kind
  • Solution oriented - If you find a problem, take the next step and suggest a solution when you document the problem.
  • Open, honest debate
  • Factual information
  • Constructive criticism - There will be things that turn out badly and these should be found out and corrected.


The following content is forbidden:

The following behavior is encouraged:

  • The Golden Rule - everyone enjoys being treated with respect
  • When in doubt, don't post it. Take a deep breath, check your facts, etc. It's better to wait if you are unsure of something or too frustrated to think clearly.
  • Stay on topic, it will be crucial to keep the content clear and concise.
