How to enable nVidia TwinView

These instructions are for enabling TwinView in the "Clone" mode. This mode is frequently used for sharing slideshows and other video content over a television. In the future, instructions for other modes will be added.

NOTE: These procedures must be done while running as root.

1. First, open the File Manager (Konqueror) by clicking on the file cabinet icon.

2. Next, type /etc/X11 in the location bar and press Enter. It will take you to the X11 directory.

3. Make a backup copy of the xorg.conf file.

 A. Right-click on the file and select "Copy".
 B. Right-click on a blank area of the folder and select "Paste".
 C. You will be prompted to rename the file.  Adding ".backup" (without quotes) is recommended.

4. Double-click on the xorg.conf file to open in a text editor.

5. Add the four highlighted lines under Section "Device" in the config file.

6. Click File --> Save and close the file.

7. Restart your system.

You now should have your desktop cloned to your television.
