Making KWrite the default text editor

Home-->Documentation-->Hints & Tips-->Making KWrite the default text editor


  1. Select and right-click any text file.
  2. Select "Open With" and choose "Other".
  3. Select Run Programs>Utilities>Editors>KWrite.
  4. Check the "Remember application ..." box at bottom.
  5. Click the "OK" box.

Note: this is a limitation due to a KDE bug in Component Chooser...
