Installing Synaptic

There are two ways you can install Synaptic; you can install it from the CNR service and also through the command line tool apt-get.

Search for synaptic and click on the little green running man "Install Now" button.

  • Installing via Apt-Get

To install Synaptic using apt-get, simply open up the Konsole terminal, and type in:

           sudo apt-get install synaptic

The terminal will then check the dependencies and ask you if you are sure you want to install this package. Simply enter a Y and it will automatically install Synaptic for you.
