Talk:CNR Warehouse

What I'd really like to know, is what is the difference/benefit not between CNR and apt-get, but CNR and what other distros provide. For example Ubuntu with Synaptic + the Add Programs menu item + update notifier.

Is the major benefit that it also gives you the ability to purchase software? That is a good feature, but I don't think it is very useful to compare a command line utility to CNR.

(I have never been able to work with Lindows/Linspire (and haven't tried freespire) because it always had funny interactions with my video card (Radeon 9000), so I have never experienced CNR first hand.)

CNR provides product pages to understand and allows Reviewing that product. CNR has aisles resulting in a single-click installation of any number of products. That on top of access to commercial products through CNB Dr.Jones

This page probably needs a statement like the CNR wiki page: "NOTE: Most of the below information applies to the legacy CNR Client used on Freespire 1 and Linspire 5; for the most current information, be sure to visit www.cnr.com" Chatan 20:30, 5 January 2008 (PST)
