Processor list: Why?

Theorically, Freespire supports any x86 compatible processor, so I don't understand why would we need a list of supported processors. For instance, one newbie might look for his processor (an AMD Athlon [Barton] XP 2200+) and see that it wasn't mentioned in the list then he thinks ow, my processor isn't supported, what am I gonna do? Freespire is not for me then.... A better approach would be the mention of processors brand.

  • All AMD processors are supported from K6 II to the lastest AMD Athlon/Turion/Opteron
  • All Intel x86 processors are supported from Pentium III to the lastest Intel Core 2 Duo/Xeon
