How do I know what version of Freespire/Linspire I'm using?

Launch >>> Help Center >>> Additional Support Options >>> OS Version
If you don't see that option you probably have a version older than Linspire 6 / Freespire 2, so please refer to the Version Page at linspireguide.com which is the wiki for Linspire 5 and earlier.

Note: If you upgraded the OS (distribution) by using the "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade" command, the reported Version number will not change.

What version of CNR client am I using?

(for Linspire 6 / Freespire 2 and above)

Method 1: With the CNR client open and running, right-click on the system tray icon (the Green Running Man), Select Launch CNR, make sure "All" is selected and find the CNR Client product in the list, and it should display the version number... See screenshot below. Note: If you have an older version of the CNR client you may have to right click on the CNR Client product to see the details.

Method 2: In console enter the command apt-cache policy cnr-client
