Freespire, and Linux in general, is widely known for it's security and stability. There's no need for anti-virus or anti-spyware software.Once installed, Freespire is good-to-go (GTG).
If you have a Windows system on your network and you plan on sharing folders with Freespire, you may want to Click-and-Buy (CNB) VirusSafe. Two other Linux Anti-virus softwares for Windows currently in the warehouse are QtFprot and BitDefender. Some other linux software vendors have offerings outside the warehouse and can be found at their websites.
